The Shaping Team is complete as we welcome our new Community Lead!

Shaping Portsmouth are delighted to announce that Courtnee Mitchell has joined us in the role of Community Pillar Lead, completing our office team!

Originally from a small village just outside of Reading, Courtnee moved to Portsmouth in 2009 and quickly fell in love with the city and decided to make Portsmouth her home. Following university, Courtnee reconnected with her passion for the arts, culture and heritage and began to focus her career goals on them all.

Courtnee has a built a strong background in community engagement, theatre, and heritage. Most recently Courtnee has spent the last few years working across Portsmouth to bring people together through inclusive community, cultural, and heritage projects. She has worked with organisations throughout the voluntary, cultural, heritage and public sectors to build partnerships, deliver programmes, and create opportunities for people to connect with each other and their city.

Courtnee said “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Shaping Portsmouth team and to continue building on the incredible work already being done within the Community Pillar. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to support the wider Portsmouth community, and I can’t wait to get my hands on an Ambassador pin badge!”
